Stone Ridge Estates is not just a wedding venue. We have all types of events and celebrations at our Pasco, Washington venue and our favorite is our annual Mommy & Me Tea Party!
I have been asked why I give up a prime wedding date every year for our Mommy & Me Tea Party. The answer is simple, I love the tea party! My first tea parties began many, many years ago when I had an in home daycare business. Each year for Valentine's Day I had my daycare kiddos dress in their finest and we had a tea party. The children loved it, and many parents took the day off work to come have tea with us.
Years later when I started the venue, the idea came back to me and I knew I wanted to bring the tea party back. As we are primarily an outdoor venue, Valentine's Day wasn't going to work due to the Tri-Cities cool Februaries. Which led to Mother's Day! May is the perfect time for outdoor weddings in Pasco, so why not an outdoor tea party!
Of course, getting with the Stone Ridge team to plot and plan, we couldn't just stop at tea served on fine china in the gardens and yummy cookies! We have 5 acres out here at the venue afterall.... so we added in pony rides, bouncey houses, face painting, and more! Oh my!
As we wanted this to be a fun, memorable day without breaking the piggy bank, we decided to include ALL the activities in the door ticket cost. Families can come in, enjoy their tea time, enjoy play time and meet new friends. While we vary the activities year to year, the pony rides and face painters are always a hit!
One of my favorite things to see at tea party is moms and daughters arriving in matching dresses. We've had parents dress up as Disney characters. We've had dads in dapper bow ties. Tiaras, gloves, pearls... It's all just so stinking cute!
We've had many families who have attended the tea party EVERY year! We love seeing their families grow and it's so heart warming to know our little tea party is an event anticipated year after year in the Tri-Cities.🧡 And of course, it's always a delight to see our past couples who had their wedding at our venue attend tea party with their blossoming families!
As we know families are busy, and weekend time can be hard to spare, we have 2 tea party times, morning 10am-12pm and then an afternoon tea party from 1pm-3pm. This allows families to work around other commitments.
Next year will be our 10th annual tea party, so we are going to have to come up with a very special way to celebrate a decade of good times, good friends and happy memories.
